Exploring intergenerational and transgenerational impact of maternal perinatal stress on the offspring through epigenetic and biomedical research

Main Objective of WG2

To increase knowledge on the biological predictors associated with short-, long- and very long-term adverse consequences in the offspring.

Tasks

  • T2.1 Secondary data analysis from Birth Cohort studies and maternity registries to identify potential medical and neurodevelopmental negative outcomes in neonates
  • T2.2 To create and develop a mathematical model to predict adverse outcomes that can be used to increase the medical and psychological health of future generations
  • T2.3 Systematic review of the transgenerational impact maternal perinatal stress can have in human populations
  • T2.4 Based on T2.1 and T2.2, to develop future projects exploring adverse outcomes in the offspring (intergenerational outcomes) and future generations (transgenerational outcomes) from a biological and psychological perspective
