Maximising our understanding of maternal perinatal psychological and physiological stress
Main Objective of WG1
To conceptualise maternal perinatal stress along with the psychological and biological factors involved.
Tasks
- T1.1 Application of a multi-method perspective through quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop clear definitions of maternal perinatal stress
- T1.2 Exploration of women’s psychological experiences of maternal perinatal stress through secondary data analysis (see Deliverable 1.2), and development of a validated tool
- T1.3 Analysis of the biological factors that can predict maternal perinatal stress in order to better understand the biomarkers influencing the development of high levels of maternal stress in the perinatal period
