Improving assessment approaches in perinatal maternal stress through psychological and biological measures

Main Objective of WG3

To stimulate knowledge on which measures better predict adverse outcomes in the offspring.

Tasks

  • T3.1 Systematic review and meta-analysis of the maternal perinatal stress biomarkers that can predict negative outcomes in neonates
  • T3.2 Secondary data analysis from Birth Cohort studies on pregnancy-specific stress and general psychological stress associated with negative outcomes in the offspring to support appropriate health decisions
  • T3.3 Feasibility and acceptability study among clinicians from a sample of countries on biological and psychological measures to assess perinatal maternal stress
  • T3.4 Write a guideline/position paper for researchers and clinicians on the psychological and biological predictors of adverse infant outcomes
